Joanne Cheung lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Her work pursues questions of representation in relation to the body and the computer, such as: how is our understanding of identity dependent on media? How are our cognitive processes shaped by aspects of the body? How does digital media intercede to replace or rearrange cultural and psychological boundaries?
She received a BA from Dartmouth College in 2009. She is currently a Master's candidate at the Milton Avery Graduate School of Arts, Bard College.
